Atonement

Set in England before and during World War II, the film follows Robbie Turner and Cecilia Tallis, two young lovers whose lives are shattered when Cecilia's younger sister, Briony, falsely accuses Robbie of a crime he did not commit. The accusation changes all of their lives forever, and Briony spends decades trying to come to terms with the consequences of her actions.
